There comes a time in all of our lives that we need to reach out to others for help. Help means to "make it easier for (someone) to do something by offering one's services or resources."
We all have heard the phrase "no man is an island." This is a true statement, because we are not meant to be alone. God provides different people and resources to meet our needs. There is someone right now to come to your rescue and who is routing for you to reach your destiny. They are available to assist you just in the nick of time. We should never feel like we are walking through life alone. Even when you believe that you're at wits end and no one is in your corner or doesn't care about what you're going through, there is someone to help you. Just look around you and identify someone that is willing, ready and waiting to help you along your journey through life.
It may be as simple as needing your lawn cut, fixing a broken pipe or need a ride to work, because your vehicle is in the shop for repair. Don't feel embarrassed about needing someone else's help. I've learned how to swallow my pride and don't hesitate to pick up the phone to reach out to a family member, friend or neighbor for help. You have probably been hesitant, because you think that they are going to say no. This may be the one time that they will say yes. Go ahead and make that call. If they say no, then move on to the next person. People may not always be willing to let you borrow money and you can't make a habit of asking someone to lend you money. Face it, we all have been a place where ends are not meeting or you have more month than you have funds. Seek God for that an answer, pay your tithes and offerings and see how He will bring you through every time.
Help is mentioned approximately 225 times in the scriptures. God is trying to get a message to us to let us know that we are never alone. He will always be around and will never leave us or forsake us. The gift of helps is given to us by God, according to I Corinthians. It's apparent that God see that help is necessary in our lives. Holy Spirit is considered the "The Comforter," "Helper" and He is our "Paraclete." He will walk beside us, protect us and is always near. We are not alone.
Once you realize that you are not alone and reach out to others for help, then make yourself available to help others. When you do, you will never go wrong, because someone else may be waiting on you to help them too.
